Burmese black lacquerware tray with multi coloured art, features an elaborate floral design, seen in the middle is a green coloured dancing peacock (u-daung) design, which in Burmese mythology is a symbol of the sun. Over this is we find in Burmese script. Around this are fine concentric circles and then beautiful feather like petals. The fine lines are then repeated at the edge, giving cohesion to the design. A rare collectible.
