Kongunadu Chitira Vari padi heavy cast, bronze short seer with Sun, mountains, ribbed engraving, mint condition, quality heavy cast seer, versatile measuring vessel which also doubles as a ritual imperative since it is considered to be a symbol of prosperity depicting  Mahalakshmi…And it is used extensively in Tamilnadu during the Nalungu – a pre wedding ceremony and also in Valaikappu (a pre delivery ritual to ensure safety of both mom and child) where in the Seer is filled with turmeric laden rice grains and circled around the head of the pregnant girl.
